Global Ride Racing
Global Ride Racing
The inaugural launch of our racing teams began with a 16 week Winter Training program put on by our coach, Gene Nacey using Cycling Fusion training techniques. The concept is simple enough. Train indoors, ride and race outdoors.
Indoor training can be very specific, targeting specific aspects of fitness or performance, with complete control over the environment, and 100% focus on the task at hand. The repeatable conditions of indoor cycling allow for the changes in single facets of one’s fitness or skill set (VO2, Threshold, Power, etc), thereby providing the most efficient ways to make gains in the least amount of time.
Finally, this kind of methodical approach to training, lends itself to easy record keeping; providing even more insight into our strengths, weaknesses, and which training methods delivers the best results. Knowing that no one reaches their peak in just one season, these records can also lead to even more improvements year after year.
To see a summary of what a 16 week program of Cycling Fusion training can do, check out these results from our Winter Training Program.

Both the men’s and women’s teams are represented here. We will endeavor to have at least one blog post from each team after each race, and an occasional post by the coach, Gene Nacey.
Always finish strong!
